Coo-Var Acrylic Line Marking Paint is a water thinned acrylic resin based line marking paint for inside and outside use on concrete, asphalt or tarmac. Coo-Var Acrylic Line Marking Paint is ideal for use where the release of organic compounds is restricted. Ideal on concrete tennis and sports courts. For marking or segregating a specific area.

Surface Preparation

All surfaces should be clean, dry, sound and free from contaminants. Concrete - power floated, granolithic and smooth surfaces should be roughened first to provide a good "key" for the paint. This can be done mechanically by abrading or blasting, or chemically using Coo-Var Acid Etch. These processes will have the advantage in addition to preparing the surface of also removing dirt and laitance. New concrete must be allowed to cure thoroughly which can take up to 3 months. Tarmac - new tarmac needs several months to weather before painting. On porous concrete apply a coat thinned 10% with clean water first to seal the surface. Other surfaces have to be prepared and primed with the suitable primer for that substrate. Existing painted surfaces - Surfaces should be cleaned, degreased and sanded to ensure an adequate "key" is produced. Remove all loose and flaking material and treat bare areas as new substrate and prepare accordingly.

Application Conditions

As dictated by normal good painting practice. In confined spaces, provide adequate ventilation during application and drying. Do not paint when temperature will be at or below 7 °C during the painting and drying process.

Preceding Coat

Apply direct to concrete, asphalt or tarmac and wood. On Metal prepare using Coo-Var Water Based All Metals Primer.
