What's the difference between a stepladder and a ladder?

A Stepladder has two hinged legs, which means that when it's set up it's nice and stable.

Typically a good stepladder will have some means of securely locking the two legs in place, like a lockable hinge mechanism and anti-splay strap.

Depending on which type of step ladder, you may also have a platform at the top.

What is a swing back ladder?

As you browse our range, you will probably notice that some ladders are being described as "Swingback".

The differences are at the top of the ladder, where a swingback doesn't have a platform step at the top. This means you can't work as high up the ladder.
