Rustins Chopping Board Oil features a blend of natural plant oils to nourish and protect wooden chopping boards and worktops.

This quick-dry oil penetrates the wood, leaving no surface film which could scratch or chip. It has a clear finish to enhance the natural beauty of wood.

The oil contains anti-microbial additives with a slow-release formula which provide protection against a wide range of bacteria including E-coli and MRSA. It also conforms to The Articles in Contact with Food Regulations.

Prior to application, the wood must be clean, smooth, dry and bare. Existing paint and varnishes should be removed with Rustins Strypit Paint and Varnish Remover.

Bare wood requires 3 coats. Re-coat once the previous coat is dry.

Apply liberally with a clean rag or brush and wipe off the surplus oil after a few minutes. The first coat should be applied liberally with a brush and allowed to dry without wiping. Nibs may be removed from the final coat by applying the oil with a scouring pad, rubbing in the direction of the grain, then wiping away the surplus with clean rags or paper kitchen towels.

Coverage is approx. 13sq.m per litre, 1 coat, depending on the absorbency of the wood.

Rustins Chopping Board Oil is sold in 250ml containers.
