- Two-Pack Epoxy Primer
- Ideal For Factory Floors & Auto Workshops
- For Substrates With Residual Oil
- Apply By Brush, Roller or Trowel
- Excellent Adhesion
- Clear Finish
Resuprime OT is a two-pack epoxy primer flooring membrane that is tolerant of residual oil contamination in concrete floors.
Formerly known as 'RS Oil Tolerant Primer', Resuprime OT can protect the floor by ensuring that the oil contaminates will not come through and affect top finishes.
Easily applied by brush, roller or trowel edge as an industrial resin flooring.
Ideal for substrates with oil contamination, concrete substrates with no damp proof membrane, factory floors, cementitious underlayments and automotive workshops
Recoating can take place after 6-8 hours or once the surface has lost tackiness. For light traffic areas wait 18-24 hours; full traffic leave at least 48-72 hours and for a full chemical cure wait seven days.
Theoretical coverage rate is 23 m² @ 200 µm for 5kg.
Full product data sheets and safety data sheets are available on request.

Surface Preparation
New concrete must be clean, sound, dry, fully cured and surface laitance removed by vacuum enclosed shot blasting or mechanical grinding, a minimum strength of 25N/mm² is required.
For existing concrete floors, remove all dirt, oil, grease, old paint or any other surface contaminants by vacuum enclosed shot blasting, scarifying or mechanical grinding.
Fats, oils or greases must be removed by mechanical means and detergent washing and making sure all residue of detergent is washed and removed by rinsing with clean water. Local repairs should be carried out using Resuscreed PA.
Existing floors previously coated must have all coatings and loose floor paints removed by mechanical preparation and primed as specified.
If the old resin flooring cannot be removed, then please consult with our technical team for advice on intercoat adhesion and suitability, as it may not be compatible with the existing floor coating.
Where Resuprime OT is applied to masonry/concrete surfaces, care must be taken to ensure that surface preparation is thorough but does not disfigure the surface.
Contaminated substrates require thorough cleaning prior to surface preparation and priming.
R.S. Oil Pretreatment can be used to help remove any oil contamination.
This must then be thoroughly washed off using R.S. Industrial Floor Cleaner.
Please refer to the product datasheets for information on proper use of these.
Application
Mix the entire contents of the base with the hardener. If a separate mixing bucket is being used, mix thoroughly ensuring all contents of both components are removed from the buckets supplied.
Using a slow speed electric mixer, mix for approximately two to three minutes until the two components are fully combined.
The mixed unit should be applied immediately by roller, brush or squeegee with a consistent procedure.
Floor areas should be cross-rolled to ensure even application and to minimise roller marks.
Application Conditions
The ambient temperatures of the areas should not be allowed to fall below 15°C throughout the application and the curing period, as this could have an adverse effect on the appearance and colour of the system.
Surface temperature must be above 10°C. Where possible, it is recommended that the application area is heated to a minimum temperature of 15°C.
Ideally to allow the ambient and substrate temperature to stabilise prior to the installation.
